DEAR
FRIEND
Stanton R. Herpick
is Founder and President of World Christian Outreach, Inc., an
international ministry of evangelization. He is a graduate of
Stanford University with a BA in History and Fuller Theological
Seminary with a Masters of Divinity.
Having been raised in
false religions, Mr. Herpick spent over 30 years of his life in
deception. For the 13 years prior to his dramatic conversion he was
intensely involved in the study of Science of Mind, Self
Realization, Theosophy, and various Eastern religions in a vain
effort to find “the reality of God.” Through very extraordinary and
glorious circumstances he was led to the Lord Jesus Christ in
January of 1971.
Mr. Herpick has a special
message for the Body of Christ in the form of a three session series
on This Treasure Within - The Power And Glory Of God In The
Believer. This series deals with the transformation of the natural
man into a spiritual man in Jesus Christ and how each one of us
becomes the Temple of the Living God, the dwelling place for God’s
power and glory in ever increasing measure.
We
find it important to reveal and clearly present the truly great and
mighty things available to the believer in Jesus Christ.
With his personal
testimony and his knowledge of New Age concepts, Mr. Herpick
shares a warning to the Church of the prevalent “all paths lead to
the top of the mountain” philosophy. This is being introduced into
mankind’s thinking in on attempt to weaken and distort the Gospel
which clearly affirms that only the blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb
of God, can forgive the sins of the world.
Most importantly, Mr.
Herpick presents the dynamics of the power and glory of our Treasure
within in Jesus Christ - the One who truly brings us into Oneness
with our Heavenly Father through His shed blood. This series will
center on principles of power, how prayer really works, how to
awaken your potential in Christ, the glory of dependence and fearing
God, why Jesus responds to faith, and how the law of attraction
operates.
These sessions will also
show how the Old Testament is translated and fulfilled in the New
Temple of God that we are as Christians, and how the great
foundational and fundamental source of power and glory - the
principle of Oneness with God, through our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ, is worked out in the believer.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Stanton R. Herpick is a
native of California, having been raised in Los Angeles and Orange
County. He attended Stanford University and upon graduation entered
Naval Officer Candidate School. He was commissioned an Ensign and
assigned to serve in Naval Communications primarily in the Far East.
Upon discharge from
military service as a Lieutenant, Mr. Herpick joined United
California Bank and served as Bank Manager of several Southern
California offices. It was during this time that he received Jesus
Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at a men’s prayer meeting, January 20, 1971 at
Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim, California.
Since then Mr. Herpick has
studied extensively in the field of religious revivals and mass
awakenings of the populace and now presents the underlying
principles behind great movements of God in history.
Mr. Herpick attended the
International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne,
Switzerland and the Pan African Christian Leadership Conference in
Nairobi, Kenya. He also attended a significant conference on revival
and awakening at Oxford, England conducted by the late Dr. J. Edwin
Orr. Through the years Mr. Herpick has been active in Christian
outreach and support work in the United States, the African
Continent, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Lebanon and
Israel.
Mr. Herpick believes that
because of the current cult explosion and the tenuous economic and
political situations in which we find ourselves and the decline of
American society, a great spiritual battle is taking place in the
heavenlies. Out of this battle will arise the greatest outpouring of
the Holy Spirit since Pentecost. Now, more than ever, is the time to
fervently pray and take the kingdom.
POWER
AND GLORY
II Corinthians 4:5-7
“For we
preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your
servants for Jesus’ sake.
For God who commanded the
light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give
the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ. But we
have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the
power may be of God, and not of us.”
