NEW AGE VIEW

1. An impersonal force and energy of God.

2. No distinction between God and the cosmos - all is one through emanation and evolution.

3. Humanity is not distinct from God and is innately divine.

4. Man is independent in self with the purpose to restore a self-realized, enlightened being.

5. Striving upward to be as God.

6. Oneness to be gained by self-effort (which is unachievable).

7. Reincarnation and the need to work through Karma.

8. 'Revelation' through dictation and channeling into spirit guides (demonic beings).

9. No assurance of contact with God - how do you know when you have arrived in the 'Christ consciousness'?

10. Walk by signs - have to see before believing.

11. No forgiveness of sins nor elimination of shame and guilt.

12. No repentance but rather assertion of self-ego remains on the throne of our being.

13. The self is all important - self-realization, self-transformation, self-esteem, self-control, self-effort.

14. MAN enthroned as an all-powerful God unto himself.

15. Man is intrinsically good.

16. VISUALIZATION = imagining a situation for ourselves, achievable in our own strength.

17. SELF-ESTEEM = what I think of me.


18. CONFIDENCE = accepting all of yourself and fully realizing your potential.


19. ENTHUSIASM = something you can generate within yourself.

20. Attempting to find freedom by battling under our own strength. A false sense of freedom may be found temporarily, but it is not everlasting.

21. Citizens of the Kingdom of Darkness where Satan rules.

BIBLICAL VIEW

1. God is personal - with personality, will, purpose, love, freedom, creativity.

2. God created the cosmos out of nothing, and transcends His creation.

3. Humanity is part of God's creation - not God - and are created to grow in personhood.

4. Man originally created as a dependent creature - is fallen, dead in trespasses and separate from God.

5. Peace and humility.

6. Oneness with God restored by the blood of Jesus Christ.

7. Resurrection with eternal life given now through grace.

8. Revelation by the Holy Bible proven over the past 4000 years.

9. Assured fulfillment by a definite 'born again' experience with a knowing you know.

10. Walk by faith in Jesus Christ.

11. God has a plan of forgiveness and perfect justice in Jesus Christ.

12. Sin is rebellion that results in death - sin fragments, separates and divides us from God. Can only be eliminated in God's eyes by receiving Jesus Christ in our lives.

13. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be achieved or attained by self-effort.

14. GOD enthroned in our lives.

15. Man is intrinsically sinful (Genesis 3)

16. FAITH = a gift of God, a belief that GOD is working in our lives for us.

17. SELF-ESTEEM = I have self-worth because of what JESUS has done in my life.

18. CONFIDENCE = accepting that JESUS accomplishes all things through us, if our relationship with Him is right.

19. ENTHUSIASM = is INSPIRED by God.


20. An incredible freedom found by handing over our lives to God -trusting Him in all things.



21. Citizens of the Kingdom of God where God rules and reigns over ALL.
